Anabolic/Androgenic steroid hormone (Oral) oxandrolone
Anatrophill, Lipidex, Lonavar, Lonavar, Vasorome, Oxandrin, Oxanabol, Glonavar, Bonavar, Oxanabolic.
Oxandrolone therapy may sometimes lead to blood-filled cysts in the spleen or liver, or tumors in the liver that may sometimes be fatal. The occurrence of these side effects may escape our attention until internal bleeding or liver failure takes place which is known to be life threatening. Often these side effects disappear once the drug is discontinued. Oxandrolone may bring about alterations in blood lipid that may in turn induce the risk of coronary artery disease (heart/ blood vessel related diseases) and hardening of the arteries as well.
Oxandrolone is used for:
- Gaining weight post loss of weight due to recurring infections, major surgery, serious injury, or unknown reasons
- Getting rid of certain side effects that occur due to prolonged use of steroid (protein catabolism)
- Relieving osteoporosis induced pain in the bones
- Other clinical conditions as per doctor’s opinion
- Oxandrolone is actually, an anabolic steroid. It functions effectively by aiding the body in manufacturing testosterone, which is responsible for building muscle mass.
Do not use Oxandrolone if:
- you are pregnant
- you are a woman suffering from high blood calcium levels and breast cancer
- you are a male with established or suspected prostate or breast cancer
- you have an allergy to any of the constituents in Oxandrolone
- you are suffering from certain kidney diseases (nephrosis) or even high blood calcium levels

Before using Oxandrolone :
Some clinical conditions may interact with Oxandrolone. Inform your doctor or pharmacist if any of these clinical conditions exist in your case:
- In case you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy or are breast-feeding
- In case you are allergic to foods, medicines, or other substances
- In case you are suffering from breast cancer, an enlarged prostate, blood vessel, heart, liver or kidney diseases
- In case you are on any prescription or non-prescription drugs, dietary supplements or any herbal preparations
Some medications may interact with Oxandrolone. Inform your healthcare provider if you are on any other medicines, particularly any of the following:
- Corticosteroids (eg, prednisone) or corticotropin ad the risk of serious side-effects, would increase and it includes swelling
- Carbamazepine, anticoagulants (eg, warfarin), or diabetes medicines (eg, glipizide), as the effects and side effects of these drugs may be increased

How to use Oxandrolone :
Use Oxandroloneaccording to your doctor’s directives. Always check the medicine- label to know the correct dosing instructions.
You may take Oxandrolone with or without food.
If you miss a dose of Oxandrolone , take it at the earliest possible. In case it is almost time for next dose, skip the missed dose and resume usual dosing schedule. Never take an extra dose to make up for the missed dose. Double dosing is harmful.

Important safety information:
Oxandrolone does not serve the purpose of enhancing athletic ability. Never use Oxandrolone for any purpose other than that for which it was recommended and prescribed.
Oxandrolone may cut down the number of specific clot-forming elements in your blood. To avert bleeding, try and avoid situations that may lead to bruising or injury. Your doctor should be consulted if you develop any abnormal bruising, bleeding, blood in stools, or tarry dark stools.
Oxandrolone may affect blood sugar levels in diabetes patients. Monitor closely blood sugar levels and seek doctor’s advice before altering the dose of your diabetes medicine.
Lab tests, including blood cell counts, liver function tests, blood calcium levels, or cholesterol levels, may be done to check the occurrence of any side effects. Make sure that you keep all lab and doctor appointments.
Exercise caution while using Oxandrolone in the elderly as they may be extra sensitive to its reactions and effects, like abnormal liver function tests, fluid buildup, or prostate problems (eg, cancer of the prostate or enlargement,).
Exercise ample caution while administering Oxandrolone in children. Effectiveness and safety of this drug on children have not yet been established.
Oxandrolone may adversely affect the bone development rate in children. Your child’s bone growth should therefore, be monitored every 6 months while on Oxandrolone.
Make sure that you do not use Oxandrolone in case you are pregnant. If you suspect that you could be pregnant, consult your doctor at once.
It is still not established if Oxandrolone is excreted in breast milk. Avoid breast-feeding while on Oxandrolone.
In cases the drug is used for prolonged periods and at high doses you may then develop an addiction or dependence on this drug.
If you discontinue the use of Oxandrolone abruptly, you may develop some withdrawal symptoms that may include loss of appetite, depression, mood swings, insomnia, exhaustion, and tiredness or exhaustion and even loss of sexual drive and desire.
Possible side effects of Oxandrolone:
Most medicines cause side effects, but their reaction and intensity may vary from person to person. Some may experience absolutely no effect, while others may experience minor side effects. Inform your doctor on an emergency basis if some common side effects continue over a reasonable period of time or become quite irritating. Other severe side effects include changes in sexual desire; acne; changes in skin color; dark urine; confusion; deepening of the voice, hoarseness; abnormal hair growth (particularly facial hair); depression; enlarged breasts or genitals; effortless bruising or bleeding; excitability; persistent or frequent erections; irregular heartbeat; increase in the urge to drink water or to urinate; loss of appetite; mood swings; menstrual irregularities; twitching or muscle cramps; vomiting or nausea; swollen hands or ankles; stomachache; yellowing of the eyes or skin or even abnormal and unexplained exhaustion.

If overdose is suspected:
Immediately contact your local poison control center or emergency room.
Proper storage of Oxandrolone :
Always store Oxandrolone at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Keep it away from light, heat, and moisture. Never store in the bathroom. Keep Oxandrolone definitely out of the reach of pets and children.
