Methandrostenolone, commonly known as Dianabol or even dbol was developed in 1960 by Ciba-Geigy who marketed the hormone which offers high anabolic and androgenic support. The hormone was acceptable all the more for its progestational activity. According to reports, Dianabol could also improve feeling of physical wellness. Today Dianabol is available in multiple generic and pharmaceutical varieties such as Anabol and Naposim and they are administered to patients requiring enhanced protein synthesis and little osteoporosis activities.
Dianabol increases anaerobic glycolysis, an activity responsible for the production of lactic acid. Body muscles use lactic acid to form glycogen which is the source of energy required for anaerobic metabolism. Lactic acid also helps the body to dispose dietary carbohydrates and this means a patient is less likely to become fat while taking Dianabol.
Studies have shown that intake 2.5mg of dianabol intake on a regular basis just for 9 months works better than calcium supplementation to check osteoporotic activity. The findings of a 24-month study on dianabol showed that the hormone increases both total body calcium and total body potassium. Calcium plays a very crucial role by transporting amino acids as well as creatine which are responsible for muscle growth. Potassium, on the other hand, facilitates muscle contraction, nerve signal transmission, and insulin generation. Dianabol is considered greatly anabolic for its potassium and calcium increasing properties leading to muscle growth and function.
A study on Methandrostenolone’s radiomodifying effect on laryngeal cancer cells clearly showed that the drug makes laryngeal tumor cells highly sensitive to radiotherapy indicating how beneficial it is for patients having laryngeal cancer. In fact, the study recommended the use of dianabol during radiotherapy of laryngeal cancer patients.
Dianabol’s half-life is relatively short and varies from 3.2 to 4.5 hours and the maximum blood concentration takes place anywhere between 1 and 3 hours. Methandienone and Methandrostenolone are nearly identical with differences only in their spatial configuration of chemical structures. Being 17-alpha-alkylated compounds, these two variants greatly influence liver function tests. In some cases, methandrostenolone/ methandienone is reported to have triggered jaundice, liver carcinoma and andenoma.
