What is Seretide?
The contents of Seretide are salmeterol and fluticasone. While Salmeterol acts as a bronchodilator relaxing the muscle in the air passage and improves breathing, Fluticasone, a steroid prevent releasing substance that leads to inflammation. The use of Seretide usually pertains to controlling asthma attack and worsening effect of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) that is associated with emphysema or chronic bronchitis. - Antidepressant like desipramine (Norpramin), imipramine (Sporanox), nefazodone, amitriptyline (Elavil) or flouxetine (Prozac);
- Antibiotics including itraconazole (Sporanox), telithromycin (Ketek), ketoconazole (Nizoral) or clarithromycin (Biaxin);
- Amiodarone (Cordarone);
- MAO inhibitors like selegiline (Emsam, Eldepryl), isocarboxazid (Marplan), rasagiline (Azilect), tranylcypromine (Parnate) or phenelzine (Nardil);
- Water pill (or diuretic)
- Beta-blocer like atenolol (Tenormin), metoprolol (Toprol, Lopressor), atenolol (Tenormin) or carvedilol (Coreg)
